Ensures that the dealership meets its new and used vehicle sales quotas and its gross objectives on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. These objectives will be accomplished through planning, organizing, coordinating and measuring the activities of the new and used vehicle sales departments. Strives to meet above standards CSI every month. Ensures that all Federal, State, Local and company policies and processes are being followed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in Determining monthly and yearly forecasts in terms of unit sales, gross profit objectives and department profits.

  • Assists in Forecasting monthly and yearly department expenses.

  • Participate and recommend to the GM, procedures for short and long-range advertising, sales promotions, staffing needs, compensation plans, customer complaints and salesperson evaluations.

  • Prepare a monthly training schedule and employee work schedule by the 1st of each month for the coming month.

  • Ensure each salesperson is properly trained on how to sell a car and knows our systems.

  • Ensure that 100% of the sales staff can pass product knowledge tests.

  • Ensure that the dealer standards for CSI are attained each and every month.

  • Conducts daily sales meetings.

  • Facilitates new and used pre-deliveries with service manager.

  • Ensures that their teams are being trained, coached and motivated on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

  • Ensure that salespeople are following an established prospecting program to obtain optimum results.

  • Reviews weekly and monthly Comm. sheets, productivity reports, salesperson monthly forecasts and profit performance with the salespeople and the GM.

  • Maintain a balanced vehicle inventory and ensure that the used vehicle inventory turns every 60 days.

  • Require that standards are maintained for displaying, merchandising, maintaining new and used cars.

  • Ensure that each and every salesperson has 100% turnover to the business manager.

  • Check the condition of all demonstrators weekly and monthly (if applicable).

  • Ensure that we have an accurate count of floor traffic (100% of our people being logged).

  • Establish and maintain a system for 100% follow up of our prospects.

  • Ensure that every manager and salesperson is conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times.

  • Ensure that the dealership maintains a team atmosphere.

  • Ensure that the facility and lot are always clean.

  • Ensure that the facility is locked and secure each and every night.

  • Must have complete working knowledge of the DMS system.

  • Hires trains, motivates, counsels and monitors performance of all salespeople.

  • Instructs and supervises new, used and F&I managers.

  • Ensures all rebate schedules and CIT are clean.

  • Ensures we are properly disclosing to all of our customers each and every time.

  • Ensures we follow State and Federal and local laws.

  • Accounts for all dealer plates, keys and sales paperwork (needs discovery sheets, desk logs, ACV sheets, etc.).

  • Ensures all prospects are handled into the format that has been implemented.

  • Disciplines staff when appropriate.

  • Process all paperwork to Human Resources in a timely manner.

  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect used vehicle sales.

  • Ensures that company policies are being followed to assure the safeguarding of customer information.

  • Ensures that all personnel have a signed and up to date pay plan and job description.

Requirements:

  • Follows the dress code the company has put in place. Maintains a clean and neat work area.

  • Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information.

  • Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given. Calls supervisor if he/she cannot be at work on time.

  • Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.

  • Follows all company policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
